In most daily production processes, products need to undergo hard anodizing to enhance the sealing treatment of the oxide film. However, how can production workers achieve an effective sealing treatment? Generally, the aluminum oxide film helps increase production efficiency. Considering its advantages such as wear resistance, high temperature resistance, and corrosion resistance, it is necessary to perform a good sealing hole treatment as well. However, the treatment methods for the oxide film are usually divided into three types, each with its own characteristics. From the following, you can clearly understand the truth.
1. Hot sealing holes
It is usually carried out in pure water close to the boiling point. When water reacts with the oxide film to form boehmite, the volume of the water expands, which will reduce and seal the micro-holes. At this time, the water temperature will rapidly drop to 80 degrees Celsius. Generally, the water and the reaction products are three-part crystalline Bayerite. When the water temperature reaches 95 degrees Celsius, boehmite has already been formed.
2. Cold sealing holes
The cold sealing hole technology is usually carried out at room temperature. This technology was introduced to China in the early 1980s and has been widely used in aluminum hard anodizing in China. In fact, the principle it adopts is to utilize the common characteristics of the interface between the oxide film and the solution. Based on this, the oxide film is changed and dispersed by the charge, and in fact, when different sealing hole mechanisms are used for different hot sealing holes, certain corrosion-resistant compounds will precipitate in the holes.
3. Medium-temperature sealing holes
Without further ado, medium-temperature sealing holes are a type of sealing method between cold sealing holes and hot sealing holes. It has advantages in China but has not been recognized by the world. However, it can cause a certain degree of fading of organic coloring.
